My fitness journey started early on through football, I quickly fell in love with the weight room and the changes It could make. I played offensive line and defensive line so I was always focused on being bigger and stronger, just eating more and lifting heavier. After high school I knew that collegiate football wasn’t in the cards for me and neither was being 270lbs so I had to make a change. I became obsessed with bodybuilding and spent as much time as I could trying to learn the best diet, workout plans, supplements, etc. During the first 6 months I dropped 50lbs and felt on top of the world.
And then it all came to a grinding halt when I moved, I was 18, nine hours away from home and had no idea what I was getting myself into. But, I made a deal with myself when I moved I was not going to stop working out. So I kept at it but my weight loss had stopped and I had started to pack back on everything I had lost. I was extremely frustrated racking my brain for any reason why I couldn't make a progress and it all felt hopeless. Until the gym I was going to ran a promo for a free 3 months of training I knew I had to sign up and just see, about a week later I got a call, I didn’t win but they where offering half off contracts to some of the people who had signed up so I jumped on it.
After I met my coach there was no turning back I jumped into it head first and dropped down to 180lbs during our first recomp. I just kept listening and learning and starting helping my friends and saw how happy they where and how much joy it brought me to help I knew I had to start coaching.
My purpose in coaching is helping people get back to themselves. When life gets busy and fitness falls to the wayside it can be extremely overwhelming trying to get back into good habits let alone starting brand new ones.
Seeing the positive changes fitness has made in my life and my loved ones lives is what motivates me to be a coach
